30 Island Inn Road, Oak Bluffs, MA 02557 — conveniently positioned between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown, approximately 1 mile from downtown Oak Bluffs.
What types of accommodations are available?
We offer 51 units across 7 types: Studio Suites, One-Bedroom Suites, Two-Bedroom Suites, The Cottage, Residential Suites, and Townhouses in 1.5-bath and 2-bath configurations. Every unit has a kitchen or kitchenette.
Is The Island Inn family-friendly?
Absolutely. Our spacious accommodations, outdoor pool, playground, and lawn areas make us perfect for families. Many units accommodate 4–6 guests comfortably.
Is there an age requirement to check in?
Yes — the primary guest checking in must be at least 21 years of age.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is at 3:00 PM. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. Early check-in or late check-out may be available on request, subject to availability.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full refund if canceled within 24 hours of booking. 50% refund if canceled 15–29 days before arrival. No refund within 14 days of arrival. See our full rental policies for details.
Are parties or events allowed in rooms?
No — parties and gatherings beyond the registered guests are not permitted. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM daily. We do offer a dedicated Event Center for hosted gatherings.
What amenities does The Island Inn offer?
Outdoor heated pool, Har-Tru tennis courts (fee + reservation required), playground, landscaped grounds, coin-operated laundry, complimentary WiFi, and free dedicated parking. Nomans restaurant is independently operated next door.
Do accommodations have kitchens?
Yes — every unit includes a kitchenette or full kitchen with fridge, microwave, stovetop, and essential cookware including pots, pans, and utensils. Most also have a coffee maker and toaster.
Are pets allowed?
Dogs are welcome in select units with advance approval. Pet cleaning fee: $150 per stay + $20/night per dog. Maximum two dogs per unit. Cats are not permitted. Service animals are always welcome at no charge.
Which units are pet-friendly?
Most Studio and One-Bedroom units are dog-friendly, with a few exceptions. Please call us at 508.693.2002 before booking if you have specific pet-friendly unit requirements.
How far is the ferry terminal?
The Steamship Authority Oak Bluffs terminal is about 4 minutes by car or 7 minutes by bike. It’s one of the most convenient locations on the island for ferry access.
How far are the nearest beaches?
Inkwell Beach is 3 minutes by car or 20 minutes on foot. Joseph Sylvia State Beach is 4 minutes by car or 7 minutes by bike. Both are excellent and easily accessible.
Is there public transportation nearby?
Yes — the Martha’s Vineyard Regional Transit Authority (VTA) bus connects Oak Bluffs to all island towns. Many guests also rent bikes from nearby outfitters — it’s one of the best ways to explore the island.

Check-in time is 3:00 PM. Check-out time is 10:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out requests may be accommodated based on availability and are not guaranteed. A fee may apply.
The primary guest checking in must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid government-issued ID.
Reservations & Payment
A valid credit card is required at the time of booking. Full payment is collected according to the booking terms. Rates are per night and subject to applicable taxes and resort fees.

- Credit card information is held securely until check-in
Cancellation Policy
- Full refund if canceled within 24 hours of booking and at least 14 days before arrival
- 50% refund if canceled 15–29 days before check-in date

- No refund for early departure or no-shows
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment, especially during peak season.
Occupancy Limits
Maximum occupancy varies by unit type and must be respected at all times. Exceeding the stated occupancy may result in immediate removal with no refund.

- The Cottage: up to 6 guests
- Residential Suites: up to 5 guests

Pet Policy
Dogs are welcome in select units with advance approval. Cats and other animals are not permitted. Service animals are always welcome free of charge.
- Pet cleaning fee: $150 per stay
- Nightly pet fee: $20 per dog, per night
- Maximum 2 dogs per unit
- Dogs must be leashed in all common areas
- Pets are not permitted in the pool area, event spaces, or restaurant
- Evidence of flea treatment required — untreated pets will be asked to leave

Quiet Hours & Guest Conduct
Quiet hours are strictly observed from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. We are a family-friendly resort and ask that all guests respect their neighbors.
- Parties, large gatherings, or events in rooms are not permitted
- Music and noise must remain at a considerate level at all times
- Guests are responsible for the conduct of all members of their party
- Violation of quiet hours may result in removal with no refund
Smoking Policy
The Island Inn is a smoke-free property. Smoking of any kind — cigarettes, cigars, e-cigarettes, or vaping — is not permitted indoors or within 25 feet of any building entrance. A minimum cleaning fee of $350 will be charged for evidence of smoking in any unit.
Damage & Liability
Guests are responsible for any damage to the unit or property beyond normal wear and tear. The cost of repairs or replacement will be charged to the credit card on file.
The Island Inn is not responsible for loss, damage, or theft of personal property during your stay. We recommend securing valuables in your unit.
